50 people die in Russian plane crash today
A passenger plane crashed at an airport in the Russian city of Kazan today, killing all 50 people on board, reports say.
The Boeing 737 had taken off from Moscow and was trying to land but exploded on impact at about 19:20 local time (15:20 GMT), officials said.
The Emergencies Ministry said there were 44 passengers and six crew members on the Tatarstan Airlines flight.
Investigators are now looking at whether a technical failure or crew error may have caused the crash. Among the dead was Irek Minnikhanov, a son of the president of the Russian Republic of Tatarstan, according to the official passenger list.

Former Borno Governor Ali Modu Sheriff buys most expensive jet for N11.5b
According to a report by Encomium magazine, former Borno State Governor, Senator Ali Modu Sherriff has toppled Bishop David Oyedepo as the owner of the largest fleet of private jets in Nigeria with the acquisition of a new jet valued at N11.5 billion.

Former Borno State governor, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff has topped the chart of top 10 private jet owners in Nigeria with the acquisition of a brand new Gulfstream G650 model worth about $72 million (N11.5 billion). Encomium Weekly’s check revealed that it’s the most expensive private jet among wealthy Nigerians who are privileged to have these expensive toys. The latest acquisition brings to four planes in his fleet.
We gathered that the aircraft, which was registered in Dubai with special specifications, is the fourth in his fleet, as the former governor already has three old Dornier aircraft which he acquired from Aero Contractors at an estimated $3 million (N480 million).According to our source, a Dornier aircraft is used for charter services as Sheriff recently obtained an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) from the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) for his airline, Skybird. But a source said the Gulfstream was acquired for Sheriff’s personal use.

The Commonwealth Youth Council is the recognized voice of 1.2 billion you people and a Nigerian is the Chairman. Go, Nigeria!

Pastor commits suicide after telling congregation that God was not hearing him
Rev. Teddy Parker, a Macon, Georgia pastor killed himself a few days after telling his congregation at his church that God was not hearing him and no longer felt a connection to God.
"I try to pray but I don’t feel like God is hearing me,” Parker said to his congregation “I try to serve but I don’t feel like God is using me. And there are times in your life when God purposely withdraws from you, he doesn’t withdraw for the sake of leaving you but he withdraws so you can grow and mature.”Rev. Parker, a father of two, shot himself in the head with his own gun following Sunday service at Bible Mount Zion Baptist Church while his family and congregation were still at his church waiting for him for the next service..
"When he didn’t show up they went looking for him,” a church member, Russell Rowland, told the Post. “I’m very surprised because he didn’t preach that. He preached totally against it. It’s something that the congregation don’t really understand.”.

On the tape, which is suspected to have been made by her driver, she is quoted as saying, "If you have money then you can control people."
Ms. Hannah has been in controversy before, after saying last August there was pressure on her to steal public money because people believed that, being a Minister, she was rich.
According to the Ghanaweb news site, she further said, “Corrupt politicians are the reflection of [a] corrupt society!"
Ms. Hannah was fired just one day after the tape which contains her $1m-making ambition went viral on social media. It was also played on a local radio station.
In Nigeria, as reported by SaharaReporters on Thursday night, the House of Representatives’ Committee on Aviation which probed the allegations of fraud against Ms. Oduah refuted every single one of her claim, describing them as false or unsupported by the evidence.

It is with deep regret that we officially announce the departure of recording artist Wande Ojosipe, popularly known as Wande Coal, from Mavin Records due to irreconcilable differences.
Over the past few months, Mavin Records has made a concerted move to consolidate its position in the Nigerian music industry. Mavin has pursued a renewed ethos to raise its standards of quality and professionalism to a world-class level. Wande’s vision has not aligned with ours and a few months ago all parties mutually agreed that a separation would be the best course of action.
Legal parties on both sides have spent the past six months trying to reach an amicable solution in terms of musical property rights. However the decision by Wande Coal to release ‘Baby Face’ purportedly as his own material is a direct breach of intellectual property law and compelled an immediate clarification on our part.
Both Mavin Records and Wande Coal have
enjoyed a remarkable run in the course of their working relationship.
It is unfortunate that conflicting priorities contributed to the
premature curtailment of a hitherto fruitful accord.
Mavin Records reaffirms its goal to
constantly provide high quality music to our fans and introduce new and
exciting talent into the industry.
We wish Wande Coal the best of luck in all his future endeavours.

Davido’s Management releases an Official Statement on the Stabbing of His Bodyguard Teejay on Sunday in Lagos
On Sunday, news broke out that Davido‘s bodyguard was involved in a club fight.
Today his management has released a statement on the issue, wanting to “clear the air” on the falsified accounts of the incident which took place at the Grotto Club, Victoria Island, Lagos.

After a successful outing at a recent concert on Sunday November 3 at Eko Hotels, popular musician Davido headed to the Grotto Nightclub on Victoria Island. After a brief stay at the club, Davido and his crew proceeded to his vehicle outside to head home.
Upon entering the vehicle, he realized that his ATM card was missing. His body guard Tijani Olamilekan Ogbeide better known as Teejay got down from the vehicle to search for the ATM card in the club.
Upon alighting, he was accosted by an already drunk “DJ Jay Dee” who had in his hand a champagne flute. This DJ Jaydee informed Teejay that he had the ATM card in his hand and would like to personally deliver it to Davido.
Teejay politely asked him to hand over the ATM card as it was clear that Davido was right in his view in his car. DJ Jaydee refused to hand over the card without payment and instead proceeded to shout that he knew who Davido was personally and that he (DJ Jaydee) was a known person in Lagos.
Man Kills Neighbor Over Alleged Affair With His Wife
Our correspondent gathered that Adeolu was allegedly killed by Yusuf and his accomplice in their residence in the Oke-Efon area of Abeokuta for allegedly having an affair with his wife.
Olatoye was said to have met his death barely two weeks after he named his new born child. The victim was also said to be making preparations for his mother’s 80th birthday.
Police sources disclosed that during interrogation, the suspect allegedly confessed to attacking the deceased when he visited his wife in their matrimonial home.
The suspect was said to have further claimed that the victim mistakenly stabbed himself during a scuffle between them while attempting to escape from his room.
