Frank Castillo drowns in lake



The body of Frank Castillo, a former major league pitcher, was found at the bottom of a lake Monday in Maricopa County, Arizona. He was 44 years old. -

He was boating with family and friends on Bartlett Lake, about 60 miles from Phoenix, when he decided to go swimming and ended up drowning.

A poor swimmer, according to his family, he didn’t surface and a 911 call was placed. A dive team from the sheriff’s office began a search late Sunday.

Castillo's body was recovered Monday.

Castillo went 82-104 with a 4.56 ERA in 13 years for the Cubs, Colorado Rockies, Detroit Tigers, Toronto Blue Jays, Boston Red Sox and Miami Marlins.
