When 26-year-old Pastor Rodney Willis made history as the youngest to shepherd 109-year-old Mt. Salem Baptist Church, Texas, little did he know that he will make history again, sadly this time, in not so pleasant circumstances. The clergy it was gathered got booted out of office and perhaps his ministerial calling, when the diaconate board found him guilty of attending a Rick Ross concert. According to one of the deacons, Deacon Langley,
”The church cannot have a pastor praising the world one minute then praising the Lord the next.” This won’t be the first time time the funky pastor would attend the concert of a secular artiste. Nine months ago, the pastor was spotted by some members of the congregation attending a Lil Wayne concert.
