Clem Onyeka’s Death: Family To Consult Juju Priest

The family members of Nollywood actor who was hit by a stray bullet few days ago while leaving a movie location in Asaba, Delta State have vowed to consult a juju priest over his death.

According to one of them, Patrick Onyeka who spoke to Leadership Newspaper, says the family believes he was assassinated and disbelieve the story of the police that claims he was hit by a stray bullet during an armed robbery. We will be taking the matter to a juju priest who will clarify the incident, he explained.

The armed robbers who shot and killed the Deputy Editor of Saturday Newswatch newspapers, Toyin Obadina (pictured left0 on February 3rd along the Itoikin Old Ijebu-Ode road, have been arrested by men of the Lagos state police command, eight months after they carried out the dastard act.

The notorious armed robbers named Adeshina Festus, Sunday Samuel, Ibrahim Adeokin and Babatunde Makinde, (all pictured right) were arrested after two members of their gang led the police to their hideout in Ikorodu.

An angry man in Amukoko area of Lagos State yesterday stripped his wife completely naked in public for dating his friend.

And according to LEADERSHIP Weekend, this happened after the husband identified as Musibau trailed the love birds to their nest at a beer parlour, along Alaba Oro Road. Musibau was said to have pulled his wife, Mulikatu out from the place and quickly tore her clothes, including her undies to shreds after all efforts made by customers at the bar to pacify him proved abortive.

Pastor Chris' daughter Supports Mums on Divorce

A decision is set to be announced on the divorce suit filed by Anita Oyakhilome against her husband Rev. Chris Oyakhilome, the President of Christ Embassy church.

Funny enough, the couple’s first daughter Sharon Oyakhilome has decided to take sides, supporting her mum against her father, Pastor Chris. She took to Twitter to post a cryptic message which seemingly appears to support her mother’s divorce decision.

Her tweets appear to be similar to the case Rev. Anita Oyakhilome cited in the divorce papers where she stated that her husband had been away for the most part of their marriage.

REVEALED: Boko Haram to Release All Chibokgirls on Monday

Finally, there are strong indications that the 218 schoolgirls abducted six months ago in Chibok, Borno State, by the violent Boko Haram sect may be released on Monday following a ceasefire agreement the sect negotiators reached with the Federal Government.

The Government, through the Nigerian military, had on Friday said that it had agreed to a ceasefire with the heartless terrorists group and that the Chibok girls would soon be released. The deal was announced by the Chief of Defence Staff, Air Marshal Alex Badeh.

Nigerian military has struggled to defeat Boko Haram which began attack against Nigeria since 2009.

The President’s Principal Secretary, Hassan Tukur, told BBC Focus on Africa that an agreement to end the Boko Haram hostilities had been reached after talks with the violent group.

He said, “The Boko Haram members have assured us that they have the girls and that they will release them. I am cautiously optimistic.”

A deadly syndicate of fraudsters who virtually opened an office for the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in Akure, the Ondo State capital, from where they dispatch fake invitation letters to unsuspecting heads of government agencies purporting to be carrying out investigation activities against them, has been uncovered.

The kingpin of the syndicate, one Olubunmo Olalekan, who is currently in EFCC custody in Abuja, was arrested by operatives of the Department of State Service, DSS, and handed over to the Commission.

At the point of arrest, Olalekan who parades himself as a Principal Detective Superintendent of the EFCC, had in his possession fake letter head papers of the Commission, 30 GSM sim cards, assorted complimentary cards, a laptop computer and printer from where he churns out the fraudulent invitation letters.

The Nigerian man pictured above named Osazuwa allegedly jumped to his death from a 15-storey building on Monday October 13th as police stormed a place he was staying with friends in Malaysia.

According to local media report, a Nigerian student had lodged a police report in Puchong on Sunday October 12th claiming his girlfriend had been kidnapped by Osazuwa and his gang.

"The boyfriend said he received a call from a suspect who demanded RM40,000 for the release of his girlfriend, also a Nigerian student here. We suspected the kidnappers were people that the victim must have known. Police immediately tracked the victim and her kidnappers’ whereabouts.” criminal investigator Datuk Mohd Adnan Abdullah said.

Man Rapes two children and infects them with HIV

 

Wonders shall never end. 32yrs old Terkura Iorpuu was on Thursday arraigned before a chief magistrate’s court in Makurdi, the Benue, for r*ping and infecting two young girls with HIV.

According to Punch, the two victims, aged eight and six, were the daughters of his lover, Mrs. Mson Tor. It was learnt that both the r*pist and the mother of the two minors had been HIV positive for over a year and had been using anti-retroviral drugs.

The bubble burst after the kids started walking in an unusual manner and were subsequently taken to Hemko Hospital, Makurdi for medical examination.

Ebola scare as passenger flying from Nigeria to JFK dies in his seat after vomiting profusely

 
There was fresh Ebola fears yesterday October 16th after an unidentified 63 year old man on board an Arik flight which left Lagos on Wednesday night heading to New York's JFK airport died before the plane reached its destination after vomiting profusely in his seat.

The plane crew immediately contacted the Centre for Disease Control, CDC, and custom officials, who then boarded the plane as it touched down, forcing 145 worried passengers to remain on board, UK Daily Mail reports..

CDC then conducted tests on the body and found he did not have Ebola.

Two friends arrested for goat theft in Ondo state

Officials of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Ondo state command, have arrested two friends, Segun Agagu and Gbenga Adedipe (pictured above) for stealing a goat which they intended to use for a birthday celebration.

According to Vanguard, the young men who reside in Akure, stole the goat in the middle of the night and hid it at 2 Ijigba street, Oda road in Akure, the state capital. When the goat owner realized her goat had been stolen, she raised an alarm and a search by the NSCDC men led them to these two men

The state Commanded of the NSCDC, Andrew Igwe Ugwumba said after proper investigations, the suspects will be charged to court for prosecution. Funny story!

In an interview with TheNETng this week, super star singer Wizkid said he charges N10million for musical collaborations with artistes he doesn't love but does it for free with the ones he loves

Polytechnic Graduate Stabbed To Death, Body Dumped At Ijora

This 26-year-old graduate of the Federal Polytechnic, Idah,Muhammed Adamu (pictured above) was stabbed to death and his body dumped at Ijora Road, Apapa, Lagos.

Muhammed, who was awaiting his call-up letter for the National Youth Service Corps left home on Saturday to attend a friend’s wedding but didn’t return….only for his body to be found on Sunday Oct. 5.

The deceased father said his son had attended a wedding ceremony of one of the staff members of the company where he’s temporarily working while awaiting his Youth Service. He tells Punch:

Ekiti State: Fayemi out, Fayose in

Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital, is agog as the inauguration of Ayodele Peter Fayose as the governor of the state begins. At the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium, Fayose Campaign headquarters in the Government Reservation Area, and the streets of Ado-Ekiti, the supporters of the governor-elect were seen readying themselves ahead of the ceremony.

A correspondent from Punch also noted that a well-decorated stage had been created at the centre of the stadium. The stage faces the equally well-decorated state box.

Fayose visited the stadium in company with security agency chiefs to inspect the extent of preparation for the ceremony which will be graced by either President Goodluck Jonathan or Vice-President Namadi Sambo and the national leadership of PDP.

It’s official! Amodu replaces Keshi as Super Eagles coach

The Nigeria Football Federation, has relieved Stephen Keshi of his duties as coach of the Super Eagles and replaced him with another former handler, Shuaibu Amodu.

Amodu will lead a consortium of coaches for Nigeria’s final two 2015 Africa Cup of Nationa qualifiers against Congo and South Africa.

According to reports, a foreign manager will then be appointed to lead the team.

The Commissioner of Police, Kwara State Command, Mr. Salihu Garba, on Wednesday said eight young men gang-raped a young lady (name withheld) who lives in Ilorin.

He stated that the police had arrested three of the suspects and were on the trail of the fleeing five suspects, Punch reports.

Parading the alleged rapists and other suspects in Ilorin, he identified the arrested suspects as Kadri Rafiu, Sikiru Jimoh and Mustapha Nasiru.

Benin court sentences teacher to life imprisonment for raping 11yr old

35 year old Bright Asiruwa has been sentenced to life imprisonment by a Benin city High Court for defiling an 11yr old primary school pupil in 2007 at Osazuwa Primary School in Ehor, Uhunmwode LGA of Edo state, while he was a teacher in the school.

PM News reports that the case against the convicted rapist started at an Abudu High Court in 2008 and then finally moved to the Benin City High court where the presiding judge, Justice G. O. Imadegbelo, after examining all evidence brought against him, pronounced him guilty of rape and then sentenced him to life imprisonment.

Strange!!! Six UNIZIK Final Year Students, Others Die Within 30 Days

Something out of the ordinary may be afoot at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, Anambra State, where students are dying at an alarming rate.

 

Between September 13th and October 11th, no fewer than seven UNIZIK students have died from a number of causes, including accident and brief illnesses.

 

Of this disturbing number, six are final year students who have written their final exams and can be called graduates, pending the outcome of their examinations and projects.

Church Vicar jailed after telling 13 year old girl to rape her 9-yr old sister

A Church of England vicar who told a 13-year-old girl to sexually abuse her nine-year-old sister during an online chat has been jailed for just two years.

Reverend James Ogley, a married father of two young children, told the teenager he wanted her and her sister to have sex with their own mother.In another online exchange, he told the teenager to rape her younger sibling.

Police officers discovered the clergyman's communications when they went to the vicarage in Luton, Bedfordshire, where he lived with his family and seized his laptop computer from his study.

Ini Edo's marriage packs up, removes husband's name from instagram

After five years together, actress Ini Edo's marriage to her US based husband Philip Ehiagwina has crashed. The couple who lived separately for most of their marriage decided to formally split in early August. There are reports that Ini's people have even returned the bride price Philip paid in 2008.

Ini has since removed her husband's name from her social media accounts and she also removed wife from her bio on instagram. Her bio used to read - actress and wife...but wife is no longer there. A source that I spoke with said they have been having problems for quite a while because of trust issues before they decided to finally end their marriage. They have no children together.

Boko Haram has carried out at least 9 attacks on the town of Konduga, Borno State since September 12th, 2014. This video footage shows the Boko Haram fatalities after one of the attacks. If you observe, many of the corpses look like those of kids, some of the Civilian JTF members (the guys with guns and RPG rounds walking around) also look like they are teens.
