APC is Corrupt,we are now clean-PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party says it has become a clean and spotless party since 'all its corrupt members have defected to the ruling APC'.

The party said this when it participated at a political stakeholders’ forum organised by the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria in Ikeja, Lagos on Thursday January 10th. 

Kunle Okunola who is a member of the House of Representatives candidate and represented PDP at the dialogue, said the party has no corrupt member at the moment.

Man caught last night in a refuse dump in Ado-Ekiti collecting excreta to put into in a polythene bag

A man was nearly lynched by a mob after he was allegedly caught at a refuse dump collecting faeces and putting it into a polythene bag.

The incident reportedly happened on Thursday night in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti state, according to Arole Oluomo Akeju who shared the story.

Witnesses suspected him to be a ritualist who was collecting the excreta for money rituals. In the video shared online, he was seen surrounded by people who stripped his shirt off and questioned him about what he wanted to do with the faeces he was collecting.

Son of Legendary singer, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, Seun, was a guest on TVC this morning where he spoke on his relationship with his babymama Yeide, the state of the Nation, the Nigerian music industry and his late father, Fela.

Seun was asked why he is now quick to respond to anyone who says anything about his father online. Responding, he said

''I will not stand by and watch anyone bastadize his legacy. Everybody wants to smoke Igbo, chase plenty girls. For those reasons you think you are Fela....No!''.

Asked if his father would have supported any political party today if he were alive, Seun said

''If my father was alive today, he would be president of Nigeria''

Fela died in 1997. 

SPORTS:Egypt to host AFCON 2019

Seven-time champions Egypt will host this year's African Cup of Nations.

Egypt, the most successful country in the tournament's history, beat South Africa -- the only other nation to submit a formal bid -- by 16 votes to one at the Confederation of African Football's (CAF) Executive Committee on Tuesday.

The country has just six months to prepare for the 24-team tournament after Cameroon, the original host nation, was in November stripped of the right to hold the event because of slow preparations.

Soldiers Killed as coup attempt is foiled in Gabon

Two soldiers suspected of being part of an attempted coup in Gabon were killed and eight military officers were arrested, state media reported Tuesday.

The suspected coup plotters stormed the state radio and television headquarters around 4 a.m. Monday, allegedly taking journalists and staff hostage, while they read out a statement saying they had taken control of the Central African nation.

The officers declared their dissatisfaction with President Ali Bongo and said they had seized power to "restore democracy" in the country.

Young man who killed his girlfriend in Ondo refuses to marry her corpse

24-year-old man identified as Saliu Ladayo, who was arrested and sent to Olokuta prison in Akure, the Ondo State capital in 2018, for the alleged murder of his 19-year-old girlfriend, Nwamma Confidence Chidiebere, has refused to marry her corpse.

Ladayo allegedly stabbed Chidiebere to death last May, for calling him a ‘lazy youth. He later blamed the devil for his actions, saying he was under a spell when he killed the girl.

The family of the late Chidiebere had insisted that Ladayo marry her corpse, warning him that if he refuses to do so, his family members would not exceed her age at the time of her death.

Nigerian evangelist accused of fraud after he was caught deceptively soliciting for funds for widows

An evagelist has been accused of being a fraud after he was caught deceptively soliciting for funds, claiming he wants to help widows.

Evangelist Chidi Ibinado shared photos of bags of rice, wrappers, and other items which he claims he bought to distribute to widows. He then asked social media users to donate for more items.

His post got impressive responses with people promising to donate to support his good work. Actress Uche Elendu even declared support for him
