A young man who has been parading himself as an army officer and
 defrauding some unsuspecting people of their hard earned money, Samuel 
Ita Ekeng, has had his cup full and is now cooling his heels in police 
detention at the Rivers State Police Command. 
The state Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Ahmad Mohammad, said Ekeng was apprehended while dressed in military uniform.
He further accused the fake military
 personnel of intimidating and extorting money from the unsuspecting 
public, stressing that he would be charged for impersonation.
A statement the command released reads:
 
The
 Rivers State Police Command wishes to inform members of the public 
about the arrest of a fake soldier, Samuel Ita Ekeng. He was arrested 
while fully dressed in military camouflage uniform.
He goes about parading himself to be an Army officer while harassing and extorting money from unsuspecting citizens.
Items
 recovered from him includes one green guide Nigeria paramilitary 
identity card, one Nigeria merchant identity card bearing his name, 
three camouflage shorts, one military camouflage T-shirt, one military 
jacket, a pair of military trousers and one military cap.
Members
 of the public are hereby advised to be wary of such characters and 
report any man wearing uniform of any of the security agencies they 
reasonably suspected to be fake one to the nearest police station,
