Police in Edo allegedly receives N450,000 to retrieve stolen car lailasnews 3

The man claimed the car was eventually retrieved by the police, but insisted they knew what to do to get back the stolen car, but would want to get paid by a civilian to carry out their corporate responsibilities

see his post below

They robbed my friend at gun point, snatched his ML and took his phone at Ugbor on a Thursday night. He had to pay 450k before the @PoliceNGheadquarters in Edo even took up his issue. Luckily they found the car as it was about to be sold to a buyer in Cameroon lol.
None of the guys were above 25yrs of age and they always have a standby buyer for each vehicle after every heist. Asked how they are able to beat checkpoints easily, they apparently have their personal officer in the Nigerian army who they pay to ride in the front seat with them.
Now imagine a person who doesn’t even have money to pay for the police to help find his stolen vehicle, they actually know what to do in such cases but would have you pay some money before anything is taken up…Thank God the guys were caught and vehicle recovered
